Q: How long have you worked at Ozmo and what were you doing when you first joined the company?

I have been at Ozmo for six and a half years now. I first joined Ozmo the Monday after I graduated high school.

Q: Describe the path from how you started at Ozmo to the role you’re in now.

I started at Ozmo as a temporary Content Developer. After working for a few months, my role became permanent. I then worked as a Content Developer for a few years, then took a software engineering internship on the Innovations team and have been working with the team ever since.

Q: Why did you choose to work at Ozmo?

I chose to work at Ozmo because of its mission statement. I think trying to solve every tech support question without human intervention is ambitious but not impossible. I appreciate the challenge that comes with fulfilling that goal.

Q: What makes Ozmo such a unique place to work?

I think Ozmo is a unique place to work because of our culture. Everyone at the company is extremely friendly and accepting. Also, we have very active communities around a variety of different topics: tabletop games, video games, 3D printing, CNC, music production, video game development, disc golfing, drawing, etc. There is something for everyone.

Q: What is your favorite Ozmo memory?

My favorite Ozmo memory was after a Saturnalia, which is our name for our company's summer parties. A bunch of us took our tubes down to the New River, floated and relaxed.

Q: What are some of your proudest accomplishments while at Ozmo?

One of my proudest accomplishments is finding out that tools I wrote years ago while I was in our Content Production department are still being used to this day to help our developers generate content.

Q: What does day-to-day life look like for you at Ozmo? What do you enjoy most about your role?

My day-to-day life at Ozmo starts with a cup of coffee as I sign into my morning standup. After standup, I work on any of our sprint tasks which includes a variety of work between research, programming and meetings to make sure everything is running smoothly. What I enjoy most about my role here at Ozmo is that I get to use emerging state-of-the-art technologies to solve unique business problems.
