Product Designer Dylan Ondell sits down with Ozmo to talk about his role at the company and what he enjoys most about Ozmo. Q: How long have you worked at Ozmo and what were you doing when you first joined the company?
I first joined Ozmo back in 2015. I had joined the Content Production Department, so when I joined my role was temporary. I joined as a temporary content developer. I joined when I was attending New River Community College so prior to that I had worked at Walmart as an Electronic Sales Associate. While I was at New River Community College, my advisor Carlotta Eaton received an email from someone at Modea (Ozmo was Modea back in the day). She she shared it with me, I talked to her about it and she made it seem like it was a really great opportunity. I don't know if she knew people at the company, she must have had someone at the company that was a contact or knew of her since she got a direct email about it. I decided to apply and take the opportunity. I knew that this is would be the start of getting into the technology industry.
Q: What makes Ozmo such a unique place to work?
I think what makes Ozmo such a unique place to work has definitely been the culture. The culture, the people and the atmosphere. I absolutely love the office that I've had the opportunity to work in.

Q: What are some of your proudest accomplishments while at Ozmo?
One of the proudest accomplishments for me is having the opportunity to move up through the company. At Ozmo, if you have that drive, the motivation, there are people here that will support you and will help you. Getting on the Product Design team has probably been my biggest accomplishment. It is the biggest step in my career so far and I'm super happy that I was able to take that at Ozmo.
Q: What does a day at Ozmo look like for you?
As a product designer at Ozmo my day-to-day is very collaborative. The Design team has grown considerably from what it was and that's super awesome. We're very very collaborative not only across the design team but even with our engineering counterparts and it's just been really great being able to work with as many individuals as I can.
Q: What does being an Ozmonaut mean to you?
I think the definition of an Ozmonaut to me is someone who is humble very ego-free, anyone who's open to being collaborative!. Someone who is up to help or support someone tackle challenges. There are a lot of challenges that we encounter here at Ozmo, but we know that we have an amazing team to work through the problems with.
Q: What do you like to do when you're not working?
What I probably do the most in my free time is play video games. I love to cook. I haven't been as adventurous in cooking recently, but cooking is definitely one of my favorite ways to pass time. I also love listening to music. I have a very small vinyl collection at the moment but I'm looking to grow that in the future. I enjoy putting a record on the record player and just listening to it around the house.
