Set up an embedded SIM (eSIM), so you can access your mobile network without needing a physical SIM card installed in your phone.

You can set up an eSIM on your iPhone a number of different ways, including eSIM notifications, QR codes, or transferring an eSIM from a previous device. This tutorial will walk you through all of these methods.

1 - Method 1: eSIM notification
Look for a notification or Settings option about installing a cellular plan, and tap it.
2 - Tap Continue and follow the on-screen prompts.
3 - Methods 2 and 3: Settings app with QR code or iPhone transfer
Within the Settings app, tap Cellular.
4 - Tap Set Up eSIM.
5 - Select Use QR Code.
- Note: Use your camera to scan the QR code and follow the on-screen prompts to finish activation.
6 - You can also transfer your eSIM from another iPhone using Bluetooth by tapping Transfer From Another iPhone.
7 - Initial device setup
Place your current iPhone you'd like to use for setup next to your new iPhone.
8 - From your current iPhone, tap Continue on the Set Up New iPhone pop-up.
9 - Position the viewfinder of your current iPhone over the image on your new iPhone to authenticate your connection.
10 - Tap Set Up for Me on your current iPhone, and follow the on-screen prompts.
